Getting There

There are daily flights from most UK airports to Geneva. These flights vary in duration from 1 hr 20 mins to approximately 2 hours..

At Geneva airport we would recommend hiring a car to travel to the chalet and for use during your stay there.  The trip from the airport to the chalet door should take no more than 2 hours driving on a quiet motorway (by UK standards) at comfortable speeds.

If you decide to drive from home to the chalet the journey from Calais to the chalet takes approximately 9 - 10 hours.  There are regular channel tunnel crossings from Folkestone and a wide choice of ferries from Dover.

A car is very useful for your stay at the chalet for visiting some of the local villages, to shop for groceries in Nendaz where there are 3 good supermarkets, or to visit Sion, the capital of Valais, in the valley below Nendaz.

It is also possible to take a train from Geneva airport directly to Sion from where you can either take a taxi to the chalet door or the bus to Nendaz.  The latter option does involve a 20 minute walk to the chalet which is not an ideal start to your holiday with luggage.
